A hydraulic master/slave system is provided with an electrohydraulic amplifier. To this end, the working piston producing the hydraulic pressure for an actuating device such as a vehicle clutch is additionally acted upon by a hydraulic pressure parallel to the force of an input piston actuated via a master cylinder, which hydraulic pressure is introduced in a controlled manner in a control chamber and can be set by an electrically activated proportional valve. In this way, the electrohydraulic amplification can be influenced by a multiplicity of electric output signals which are processed in an electronic circuit so that the working pressure for the actuating device can be produced as a function of the electric input signals in addition to the hydraulic input pressure.
