PURPOSE:To preserve the flaw indication pattern which indicates flaw part in the perfect form with relatively simple constitution by a providing a supply means of a resin curable by UV rays for supplying the resin curable by UV rays to fix the flaw indication pattern to the flaw indication pattern based on the obtd. positional information. CONSTITUTION:A material 30 to be inspected to which a fluorescent magnetic particle liquid is supplied is conveyed and is placed on turning rolls 44 for rotation, by which said material is rotated and is subjected to image pickup with an optical detector 48. The material to be inspected is subjected to flaw detection by scanning and the fluorescent magnetic particle indication pattern flocculated at a natural flaw 32 is detected. The information on the detected fluorescent magnetic particle indication pattern is subjected to image processing and an image processor 50 outputs the positional information of the natural flaw 32. The positional information is transmitted to a spray nozzle 52. The nozzle 52 sprays a specified amt. of the resin curable by UV rays uniformly to the upper part of the natural flaw 32. The material 30 sprayed with the resin curable by UV rays is irradiated by the UV rays by which the resin is almost instantaneously cured and fixed. The fluorescent magnetic particle indication pattern flocculated to the natural flaw 32 is fixed in this form.
