PURPOSE:To detect the mount state of a connector securely with simple, inexpensive constitution by providing the 1st connector among plural connectors to be connected with a means which short-circuits plural terminals of the 2nd connector connected to the 1st connector, and detecting its continuity and detecting the connection state of the connectors. CONSTITUTION:A connector 5 is provided with detection electrodes 3a and 3b and terminals 5a and 5b for detection which can be contacted when the connectors are connected mutually. A detection signal supplied to the terminal 5a is held high in level and then a strobe pulse is applied to a flip-flop 6, whose output is decided. A low level is outputted unless the connectors are connected completely, and then the unmount state of the connectors is detected. When a high level is outputted, on the other hand, the detection signal is held low in level to monitor the output state of the flip-flop 6, thereby deciding that the connectors are mounted when the low level is outputted or not mounted when the high level is outputted.
