<p>Procedure for the quantitative determination of C- reactive protein (CRP). Consisting in a solid-phase enzyme immunoassay which comprises: Reconstitution of reagents and anti-CRP antibody conjugated with peroxidase; addition of the clinical sample for which it is intended to determine the C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration; addition of anti- CRP antibody, with an enzyme and under conditions such that it reacts with said C protein; addition of an enzyme substrate under specific temperature and pH conditions. The quantitative determination of the CRP protein and knowledge of the concentration thereof in blood serum have special applications in the field of rheumatic tests, as well as in neonatal infections, post-operative changes in tumours, and urinary infections and rheumatoid arthritis.</p> |
