PURPOSE:To improve a cooling effect with a compact structure, by setting up an outside air feed pipe, whose one end is opened to the outside of a housing, in space between both driving and driven pulleys, and forming a supply port, supplying the outside air, in this pipe. CONSTITUTION:An outside air feed pipe 7, whose one end is opened to the outside of a housing 1, is set up in space between a driving pulley 3 and a driven pulley 5 of a belt type continuously variable transmission M. Then, a supply port 7a, supplying a belt 6 with the outside air, in this pipe 7. Therefore, the outside air is sprayed to the belt from the supply port 7a, thus the belt 6 is cooled. Thus, the belt is effectively cooled without entailing any structural enlargement in the whole system.
