PURPOSE:To produce directly the data containing a large amount of information on such as working types and positions as NC data by using a means which processes the digital picture data to recognize the symbols, characters, patterns, etc. and recognizes the data on the working types and positions. CONSTITUTION:A means 12 which supplies a processing drawing after converting it into the digital picture data is provided together with a means 13 which processes said digital picture data for recognition of the symbols, characters, patterns, etc. and recognizes the data on the working types and positions, and a means 14 which converts the data recognized by the means 13 into the numerical control NC data for a working device. As a result, not only the patterns but the characters, symbols, etc. are recognized. Thus the data containing a large amount of information on the working types and positions can be produced directly as the NC data. Therefore the input is possible directly by means of a drawing with no manual operation even in case the work requiring change of the tool such as holing or the working of a screw hole to be worked with different diameters.
