PURPOSE:To measure and display a distance on a map and also display time by calculating and displaying the rolling distance of a rolling element provided on the external surface of a timepiece case by using a prescribed scale. CONSTITUTION:A crown 4 is pressed against the map and rolled along a course to be measured. Then, a gear 7 rotates together with the crown 4, and every time a projection 8 of the gear 7 presses down a switch board 13, the switch board 13 contacts an adding electrode 11 to send one pulse from a one-shot circuit 22 to the plus terminal of an arithmetic circuit 24. Then, the arithmetic circuit 24 adds a value proportional to scale data from a scale counter 26, i.e. one for a 25,000:1 scale, two for 50,000:1, or four for 100,000:1 to distance data (initially 0) from a distance register to write the sum in the distance register 25, whose contents are rewritten into the sum every time one pulse is applied. |
