PURPOSE:To provide a steel stack preventing a corrosion, having a simple structure and showing a small size by a method wherein a drain accumulation is arranged in a main body of the stack and its drain port is arranged at the drain accumulation. CONSTITUTION:A bottom part of an upper stack 4 has a drain accumulation part 7 enclosing the top part of a main body 1 of a stack, a part of the accumulation part is provided with a drain discharging port 5. Discharged gas flowed from a discharged gas inlet port 2 at the lower part of the main body 1 of the stack ascends within the main body 1 of the stack and then discharged at the extremity end of the chimney. The discharged gas discharged from the extremity end of the main body 1 of the stack enters the upper stack 4, is cooled and condensed at the inner surface of the stack and then made as drain. In case that rain water flows into the stack at the upper end thereof and a height of the upper stack 4 is more than the specified height, almost of all the water drips are adhered to the inner surface of the upper stack 4 and made as drain. These drains are discharged at the discharging port 5 and so no water drips are dropped along the inner surface of the main body 1 of the stack.
