PURPOSE:To prevent the oscillation of a valve body, by making a straightening vane support which is inserted into the strainer of a steam valve with a plate member, and forming plural steam passages in the strainer. CONSTITUTION:A tubular strainer 3 is provided inside a steam chamber 2 defined in a casing 1, a cross-sectionally cruciform straightening vane support 4 is inserted to the inside of the strainer 3, and the inside of the strainer 3 is partitioned to four steam passages I-IV. Then, a blind portion 3a is formed at the steam admission side of the strainer 3, and holes 5 are bored at the remaining portion thereof. The straightening vane support 4 comprises faces 4a, 4c parallel to the direction of the steam admission and faces 4b, 4d intersecting with the faces, and piercing portions 6 are provided for the faces 4b, 4d. Thus, the pressure inside of the respective passages I-IV is almost uniformed, so that the oscillation of a valve body can be prevented.
