[Also in Division F2] A change-over valve at a junction between two pneumatic conveyer pipes comprises a pivoted flap member 10 which, at its pivot end in the angle 9 between pipe connections 6, 7, sealingly engages a seating within the valve housing and which is adapted to be removed through an aperture in the valve housing. In the embodiment shown, the aperture 33 is provided in the angle 9 and is normally closed by a member 40 the inner end of which rests on a part cylindrical surface of a rearwardly projecting portion of packing 15 which extends between the two portions 11, 12 of the flap member 10. In further embodiments, Figs. 3, 5 (not shown), the closure member is held in the aperture in sealing engagement with the flap member by a tightening screw. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), an aperture is provided whereby the flap member may be withdrawn laterally. The closure member supports a bearing for the pivot shaft of the flap member and is provided with an adjustment screw whereby the flap member seal may be urged against a seating in the angle 9 of the housing.</p> |
