PURPOSE:To prevent a paper conveying motor in a sorter from being overloaded due to a difference in paper conveying speed between a copying machine and the sorter, and to prevent a conveying roller from being worn, by using a d.c. motor as the paper conveying motor in the sorter, and by providing a current limiting circuit in the power source circuit. CONSTITUTION:A paper conveying motor in a sorter is a d.c. motor 10 whose power source circuit has a current limiting circuit 11 in which the voltage at both ends of a resistor R1 increases when the value of current exceeds a set value, and if it exceeds 0.7V, a transistor Q1 is energized to restrain the corrector current of a transistor Q2. If the current value is below the set value, the voltage at both ends of the resistor R1 is low, and therefore, the transistor Q1 is not energized. Accordingly, the value of current running through the motor is made to the lower than a predetermined value. With this arrangement, it is possible to eliminate overload and over-current, and therefore, the life of the motor may be prolonged. Further, there is no slip in conveyance, and therefore abrasion of a conveying roller is reduced.
|
