PURPOSE:To completely protect a sensor form weathering and to suppress the degrading of sensitivity by placing a sensor for outdoor use in a metallic container having plural slits, and overlaying a protecting cover made of a foaming metat through which the atmosphere outside the metal container penetrates. CONSTITUTION:On the top of a supporter pipe 1, the pipe-shaped metal container 3 is fixed. In the side of this container 3, the plural slits 5 are provided. On the inner surface of the side of the container 3, an inner layer 6 is further provided. In the inner chamber of the container 3, a sensor 7 such as a microphone is disposed. The protecting cover 11 surrounding the container 3 is made of the inner and outer pipe-shaped foaming metal, having a top plate 12 of the same metal fixed on its upper end.
