A rockable toy figure such as a doll or animal comprises an upper portion 18 and a lower .portion 16 relatively movable, the lower part being carried on a rockable support 10, and drive means 34 to move the relative portions of upper and lower parts and displace the centre of gravity so as to rock the support. As shown, the legs 16 and body 18 of the doll are joined by axle 24. The legs are preferably pivoted individually to the axle by means of friction or clutch means. An arm 26 is mounted on the axle, and the slot 28 engages the pin 30 of a crank 36 mounted on shaft 32. Motor 44 drives shaft 32 via gear and switch means, causing the arm 26 to move the upper and lower parts relative to each other, and the doll to rock the chair.</p> |
