PURPOSE:To store a large quantity of cable members by arranging a plurality of drum members in concentric superposition and effectively utilizing the inside of the drum member. CONSTITUTION:When the taking-up of a cable member 17 onto the innermost drum member 12 among a plurality of drum members 12, 13, 14, and 15 arranged in concentric superposition is completed, a counter device 77 which detects this fact from the revolution speed of a driving shaft 32 outputs the signals into a driving motor, driving cylinder 33, and a guide device 80. At first, the driving motor is stopped to stop the revolution of the driving shaft 32, and a flange member 61 stops an engaging pin 65 at the position opposed to an engaging pin 66. Then, the driving cylinder 33 operates to project a driving plunger 33a, and a driving plunger 33b is retracted to demount the engaging pin 66 from a hole 51b. At this time, the guide roller 82 of the guide device 80 is pulled out from the window 13b of the second inside drum member 13 by a cylinder 83, and operates to prepare the next taking-up operation in the vicinity of the drum member 13.
