PURPOSE:To easily store vertically continuous picture data on a display screen in a picture refresh memory by generating successive addresses, converting into the addresses of the intervals corresponding to the number of the picture data on one scanning line on the display screen and transmitting to the picture refresh memory. CONSTITUTION:The address (a) of the picture refresh memory sequentially generated in an ascending order is automatically converted into the address of the intervals corresponding to the number (n) of the picture data on the one scanning line on the display screen by an address converting means 300. Thereby, a successive address generating means 200 only generates the address of the picture refresh memory 4 sequentially in the ascending order. The two-dimensional picture processing can be performed without using a specific and exclusively used circuit and the performance and the economic efficiency are improved.
