PURPOSE:To deepen the penetration depth and to prevent the foam generation by controlling the generated plasma of a large output laser beam, by irradiating a laser beam through a nozzle on the body to be welded inside a vacuum welding chamber and by preventing the air flowed in the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A large output laser beam 15 is irradiated with its convergence through small diameter opening nozzles 3, 4 on the body 9 to be welded of the above of the carriage 7 which is moved by the push rod 8 inside the vacuum welding chamber 1 which is exhausted from pipes 13, 14. In this case, the air flowed in from the opening nozzle 3 is prevented by the blowing air 12 from the ejecters 5, 6 facing for the outer part of the nozzle 3. The large output laser beam 15 in vacuum that the pressure inside the chamber 1 is made about 70Torr like this constrains the plasma generation, deepens the penetration depth and prevents the porosity generation. The large output irradiation is made possible because of no optical system being used for the laser beam 15 focusing. The effect is further increased by removing the generated plasma by blowing an inert gas from the side part nozzle 9 to the irradiating part. |
