PURPOSE:The titled sustained release tool capable of vaporizing pheromone surely, at a constant rate and gradually and of increasing strength sufficiently by changing thickness of pipe wall, by packing pheromone into a polypropylene hollow pipe having the pipe wall equipped with fine pores. CONSTITUTION:Pheromone is packed into a polypropylene hollow pipe having a pipe wall equipped with fine pores to give a sustained release tool for pheromone. The hollow pipe having 0.05-10mm inner diameter, 0.01-4mm thickness and >=2mm length, the pipe wall has the fine pores with 0.001-1.0mum average diameter and ratio of the fine pores (volume ratio of fine pore space based on volume of the pipe wall) is 0.1-90%. A homopolymer, block copolymer, random copolymer, etc., are used as the polypropylene without particular limitation and periplanone B, etc., are preferably used as the pheromone. Thus sustained release tool is applicable to attractive catching or monitoring for sanitary insect pest, agricultural insect pest, etc.
