PURPOSE:To control the extinction of the first and the second light emitting parts at the time of extinction by keeping harmony of both of then, by executing a correction so that pulses of extinction pulse signals impressed to the first and the second light emitting parts coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:A segment 5b of blue green of a fluorescent character display tube 5 is driven directly by an output signal of a driving voltage V1 from a driving circuit 1. Also, a color segment 5a is driven by a driving circuit 1, by transistors Tr1, Tr2 which become a switch means for impressing a driving voltage V2, and a correcting circuit 3 for delaying a rise of a pulse signal for turning on the transistor Tr1 by a prescribed time, and correcting it. In this case, a light emitting pulse time width of a color segment 5a and a light emitting pulse time of a blue green segment 5b are made equal by making a switching delay time of the transistors Tr1, Tr2 and the correction time almost equal, and the extinction rates of both the segments 5a, 5b are brought equally to a dimming correction.
