This oscillator has a reduced-height waveguide to one end of which an extraction waveguide for the harmonic is connected. The invention is characterised by the fact that the other end of the reduced-height waveguide is connected to a waveguide section in which the fundamental wave can propagate, that the waveguide section is subdivided into a first and a second spacing piece between which a resonant diaphragm is inserted from which the harmonic is reflected, and that a high-Q resonator for the fundamental wave is connected to the waveguide section via a window.
