NEW MATERIAL:An optically active cyclopentenone ester complex which is obtained from an optically active 2-cyclopentene-4-one-1-ol ester of formula I (R is aliphatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted with halogen) and an optically active 1,6-diphenyl-2,4-hexadiyne-1,6-diol derivative of formula II (R' is halogenated phenyl, lower alkylphenyl, naphthyl, tert.-lower alkyl). EXAMPLE:1:1 complex from (+)-1,6-diphenyl-1,6-di(o-chlorophenyl)-2,4- hexadiyne-1,6-d-iol and (+)-2-cyclopentene-4-one-1-ol n-butyrate. USE:An intermediate of medicines and agricultural chemicals. PREPARATION:A compound of formula I and another compound of formula II is mixed in an organic solvent to give the titled compound.
