摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a quickly cooled thin strip with less thickness deviation in a process for producing the quickly cooled thin strip by a twin roll method by subjecting a thin metallic strip right after quick solidification to hot tension rolling prior to the coiling thereof. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 1 supplied from a supply nozzle 2 is quickly cooled and solidified between a pair of cooling rolls 3 and 3 to form the thin strip 4. The thin strip 4 right after quick cooling is conducted via a deflecting roll 5 to a heating and cooling device 6 where the strip is adjusted to the adequate temp. based on the measurement data of a temp. measuring instrument 7; thereafter, the strip is sent into a rolling mill 10 via pinch rolls 8. The rolling mill 10 makes the hot tension rolling of the thin strip 4 under the tension control by a tension measuring instrument 11 while leveling the crown in accordance with the measurement data of a crown measuring instrument 9. The resulted thin strip 4 is coiled on a coiler 12. The quickly cooled thin strip with the less thickness deviation is thus produced.
