PURPOSE:To improve the power to effectively absorb and decrease vibrations by preliminarily disposing a vibration damper into a casting mold so as to interpose the vibration damper in a laminar state and casting a cast iron, etc., into such casting mold. CONSTITUTION:Plate-shaped non-metallic materials consisting of Al2O3-SiO2 fibers are alternately superposed in the laminar state by means of plural sheets of steel sheets 4 in such a manner that the front and rear consist of the steel plates to obtain the vibration damper 3. Such vibration damper 3 is set in the central part of the casting mold (sand mold) in the thickness direction and the gray cast iron 5 is cast therein. The vibrations are thereby effectively absorbed and decreased.
