PURPOSE:To effectively use a FAX and improve the processing efficiency as a system by providing a command input part with a command storage part and accepting new service requests successively while a facsimile equipment is operated and processing these service requests successively after the current operation is terminated. CONSTITUTION:A command input part 1 is provided with an input command storage part 1A, and commands inputted from a ten key are stored there temporarily. Commands inputted on the way of transmission are stored in the command storage part 1A also. A control part 2 receives commands from the command input part 1 and reads originals by a reading part 5 and subjects them to compression conversion by a picture processing part 4 and transmits originals to a store and forward switching device 10 through a modulating/demodulating part 6 and a network control part 7. After the transmission of a prescribed number of pages is terminated, it is checked whether a new command is inputted to the command storage part 1A or not. If the new command to a FAX 13 is inputted there, the next service command is transmitted without disconnecting the store and forward switching device 10, and originals are transmitted to the FAX 13.
