DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDING AND REPRODUCING METHOD AND ITS REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To record and reproduce a high definition color still picture and partial animation picture together with an information signal such as a sound signal by applying time division multiplex to a header signal specifying the reproducing condition of each picture element data group into a component signal by plural words each. CONSTITUTION:A picture to be recorded (a natural picture or a monochromatic graphic in a still picture or a partial animation picture) is converted into an electric signal (video signal) by a high vision camera 11 or a high vision telopper 12 and fed to a switcher 13, where one or a combined picture is outputted selectively. Then the result is subjected to digital pulse modulation by an A/D converter 14 and stored in a frame memory 15. A picture element data group read from the frame memory 15 is converted into an analog color video signal by a D/A converter 16. When the result of check represents a good result, the picture data group is recorded digitally on a magnetic tape as a picture rash by a VTR 19 via a PCM processor 18.
