PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of machining efficiency due to the reduction of a copying route, by simultaneously performing a pick feed and a copy feed through speed signals in the feed and copy axial direction and the pick feed axial direction based on a displacement signal from a tracer head. CONSTITUTION:A tracer head in a copy start point St is fed in a +Y axis direction by a speed signal in an X-axis direction, and the tracer head, if it reaches a point (a) on a pick feed position P2, is fed in a -X axis direction by a speed signal in the X-axis direction while in a -Y axis direction by a pick feed signal in a Y-axis direction. Next the tracer, if it reaches a point (b) by obtaining a predetermined moving amount pl in the Y-axis direction, is fed in the -X axis direction by the speed signal in the X-axis direction. The tracer head, if it reaches a point (c) on a position pl, is fed in the +X axis direction by the speed signal in the X-axis direction while in the -Y axis direction by the speed signal in the Y-axis direction. The tracer head, if it reaches a point (d) by obtaining the predetermined moving amount pl in the Y-axis direction, is fed in the +X axis direction by the speed signal in the X-axis direction. Hereafter the tracer head is similarly fed to an end point EN, and efficiency is improved by reducing a copying route.
