PURPOSE:To execute a retrieval in case of executing a transfer at a high speed by always comparing with the first byte of a key word by the second comparator, when retrieving a partial coincidence of a record data. CONSTITUTION:A comparing and controlling circuit 15 of an information retrieving device inputs the first byte of a key word to a B input of a comparator 12, inputs the first byte of an input record data to an A input, when starting a retrieval, and compares them. Then they coincide with each other, a coincidence signal 21 is outputted,and thereafter, it is repeated, and when all coincide with each other, a coincidence signal 23 is sent to a record buffer 11. In this case, an auxiliary comparator 16 is provided, also a register 17 for inputting the first byte of the key word to its B input is provided, and a coincidence signal 26 of the first byte of the comparator 16 is inputted to said controlling circuit 15. In this way, even in case when a coincidence is not formed on the way of the key word, a comparison is executed by a timing of once with respect to one type of a record data. |
