PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof structure with durability by using a seal material and a thermoplastic joint member on the outer circumferential face of a pipe in a heat storage tank formed by communicating a plurality of heat storage rooms by a pipe piercing through the wall bodies which define the heat storage room with partition walls in the inside of the tank. CONSTITUTION:A communicating hole 8 is formed during concrete pouring of a partition wall 3, and the end of the pipe 10 for the hole 8 pierces through a heat insulating layer 6 and a thermoplastic waterproof sheet 7 and both ends of the pipe project into heat storage tanks 4 and 5. A sealing material 12 is applied to the pipe end and the thermoplastic waterproof sheet 7. A thermoplastic joint member 11 is made of a sheet cut out from a material which is the same material as the thermoplastic waterproof sheet 7. The sheet is fitted on the outer circumferential face of the seal material 12 and, after their positioning, the sheet 7 is heated to be made pliable, and it is bent back to form a flange section 16. Then the thermoplastic waterproof sheet 7 is heated and pressed to fuse thermally on to the flange 16.
