PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive and compact gas combustion equipment which may radiate a large amount of air infra-red ray by a method wherein a far infra-red radiation plate having several through-pass holes whose opening rates are within a specified range is arranged in front of the gas combustion equipment. CONSTITUTION:A far infra-red ray radiation plate 3 is arranged in front of a burner part which is composed of a gas combustion burner 1 and of a ceramic plate 2, and a reference numeral 4 denotes a metallic frame and a reference numeral 5 designates a gas conduit. A far infra-red ray radiation plate to be used has several opening holes passing therethrough in its thickness direction the rate of operating of the holes being 20-50% and preferably a hole area of one opening hole being 0.75-80mm<2>, in particular 2-20mm<2>. A rate of opening of the radiation plate is more than 20% and this is necessary to keep a stable gas combustion. In turn, if the rate is more than 50%, an amount of radiation of near infra-red ray in the gas combustion equipment becomes larger than that of the far infra-red ray, so that it is necessary to keep it less than 50%.
