PURPOSE:To achieve a high accuracy of production management, by performing a scanning of a line sheet across width and long the length thereof with a plurality of frames to enable the estimation of a profile of the entire thickness of a measuring sheet. CONSTITUTION:A scanning rail 5 is arranged on a line sheet 1 across the width thereof and a scanning head 11 is set on a frame 8. Adjoining on the rail 5, a scanning rail 6 is provided across the width of the line and a head 12 is provided on a frame 9. The frame 9 scan the sheet 1 across width while being able to be fixed at any position and time. At both ends of the sheet 1, a synchronous scanning rail 14 is provided parallel with the sheet 1, a scanning rail 7 is set on the rail 14 and a head 13 is set on the frame 10. The rail 7 scans the rail 14 in synchronism with the line speed of the sheet 1 while the frame 10 and the head 13 scan the rail 7. Thus, a measurement locus can be obtained across the width of the sheet 1.
