PURPOSE:To reduce slapping noise of a piston by dividing the piston into a crown part for attaching pistion rings, and a skirt part for installing the piston, and by connecting the both parts to a connecting rod by means of a piston pin. CONSTITUTION:With a crown part 1a connected via a piston pin 3a movably to a skirt part 1b, compressive forces of air are received with the crown part 1a and the skirt part 1b receives only lateral pressures. Accordingly, since the lateral pressures are received with the entire side surface of the skirt part 1b and the piston slides not in a tilted condition, the sliding becomes smooth to reduce slapping noise of the piston.
