<p>PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality and the resolution and to reduce the cost by selecting properly the intervals of light emitting elements to eliminate parts where light is not emitted, between elements and sharing anode electrodes to reduce the number of driving elements. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting element strings 22 and 22' are provided in parallel on common anode electrodes 21 and 21' respectively; and when light emitting elements are seen in the direction (of an arrow 51) perpendicular to the string direction, they are seen as if they were arranged at equal intervals. First, the upper element string 22 emits light to form an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body facing this string 22. Next, the photosensitive body is moved in the direction of the arrow 51 relatively to light emitting element string, and an electrostatic latent image is formed by the element string 22'. Thus, an electrostatic latent image corresponding to one string is formed equivalently by light emitting elements arranged close to one another to improve the picture quality and the resolution, and the number of driving elements is reduced to reduce the cost.</p> |
