PURPOSE:To make it possible to take an accurate picture of a work position of a work robot and the like using a work position photographing device by arranging a mirror with a through hole in its center obliquely in front of a lens and passing a work means through the through hole. CONSTITUTION:Firstly incident light O1 is reflected with a mirror 16 at right angles and using the reflected light O2 through a lens 14 and a photographing means 13, a central surface 11a of a work means 11 inserted through a through hole 15 is photographed coaxially with the work means 11. Then, when the photographing means 13 searches a work position P1 to align with an optical axis 16a, the work means 11 can be accurately positioned right above the work position P1 without parallax. Then, while specified works such as machining and adjustment are performed on the work position P1 of a material 12 to be worked by lowering the work means 11 vertically, the photographing means 13 takes accurate, coaxial pictures of the work position P1 so that work condition is always monitored well by means of a monitoring TV. Thus, works such as machining and adjustment can be performed always accurately to improve work accuracy.
