A circuit arrangement for measuring the leakage current of electrolytic capacitors has a toroidal tape core (K) with an extensively rectangular hysteresis curve. The measurement current (Imess) is applied to the primary winding (Pr), whilst a triangular alternating voltage generated in a circuit (I) is applied to the secondary winding (Se). When the coercive field strength of the core (K) is exceeded, voltage pulses are induced which are supplied to an evaluating circuit (II) which evaluates the duty ratio of a square-wave voltage which is generated with the aid of the voltage pulses. The output voltage (UA) is proportional to the injected measurement current (Imess). <IMAGE>
