<p>PURPOSE:To feed sheets to a sheet supply hole in the body of a copying machine by controlling the transport speed using the difference from the reference time of the measured period of time from the sensing of the trailing edge of any copying sheet under transportation till sensing of the leading edge of the subsequent copying sheet. CONSTITUTION:When the trailing edge of any copying sheet under transportation passes by sensors S4a-4c, it is judged whether there is any detection signal together with request for sheet feed at the time, and if the request exists, a sheet feed solenoid is again turned on to start feeding of he next sheet. When the leading edge of the next sheet is sensed by sensors S4, a CPU turns the sheet feed pulses into H according to the detection signal, which is transmitted to the body of copying machine, to actuate counting of pulses of sensor S9, and the point when motor M1 has rotated for the angle corresponding to the leading edge attaining roller 20a, shall be sensed so as to turn off the feed solenoid. Then the OFF time of sensor S9 is measured by a CPU internal timer, followed by comparison of the measured value to the preset value, and if the former is greater, the motor M1 is actuated, and if smaller, is turned off, which should provide constant spacing in sheet feeding.</p> |
