PURPOSE:To fetch a data other than a transmission data without the provision of a new external connection terminal to a DCE by providing the 1st latch circuit connected to one data input line and fetching the data at the rise or fall of the timing synchronized with the data and the 2nd latch circuit fetching the data at another polarity conversion point from the timing. CONSTITUTION:A transmission data 1 is arranged as A1, B1, A2, B2... so as to be fetched by latch circuits 4, 6 depending on the rise and fall of a transmission timing 2, and the data is separated as A1, A2... and B1, B2... at outputs 3, 5 of the latch circuits. That is, the normal transmission data A1, A2... and data B1, B2... other than the transmission data are separated in the inside of the DCE. In using the data B1, B2... for control information or the like in the inside of the DCE, it is not required to provide a separate connector to the DCE for the purpose. Thus, for example, the setting of various options in the inside of the DCE is attained externally and the case of maintenance or miniaturization of the equipment is attained.
