A toothed conveyer belt 1 (Figs. 1 and 2), has reinforcement members 2 embedded in resilient material which defines tooth blocks 3, 4, and has bores or grooves in which members 7 and 8 are positioned, there being connecting members 9, 91 extending between the members 7, 8, and the load (not shown). As shown, the members 9, 91 are disposed in recesses 14 on each side of the belt. In a modification (Fig. 3), the members 9, 91 are disposed in respective bores formed in the belt, and the members are in threaded engagement with the members 7, 8. In this form the members 9, 91 may be wholly embedded in the belt, an end face of each member being threaded for engagement with the load (Fig. 9, not shown). There may be only one member 7 or 8 (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown). The members 7 and 8 may be replaced by a plate (26) of polyamide, secured to the lower face of the lower tooth block 3. The latter may be arranged to function as a sliding bearing plate. One or both of the members 9, 91, may be in the form of trunnion plates (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown).
