PURPOSE:To guide a moving body in two dimensions by one laser beam scanning device by arranging a conveying device along one side of an area where the moving body can run and arranging the laser beam scanning device movably on this conveying device. CONSTITUTION:The conveying device 2, e.g. belt conveyor is arranged along one short side of the rectangular working area 1 and the laser beam scanning device 3 is mounted on this conveying device 2. The laser beam scanning device 3 incorporates a scanning device which utilizes a reflecting mirror, and emits a laser beam toward the surface of the working area 1 to scan the laser beam from one end of the other end of the working area 1 at right angles of the direction of conveyance by the conveying device 2. Then, sensors 6 are fitted on the top surface of the moving body 5 like an unmanned tractor in an array in the direction (breadthwise) where plural laser beam detectors cross the moving direction at right angles.
