<p>PURPOSE:To detect an angle difference between a commanded beam directing direction and a target direction without increasing the scale of a hardware, by switching successively a transmitting frequency so that a pair of adjacent beam directing directions become symmetrical against the commanded beam directing direction. CONSTITUTION:By a beam controller 5, the phase-shifting quantity of each antenna element required for forming an antenna beam in the commanded beam directing direction is calculated with regard to a prescribed transmitting frequency, and the transmitting frequency is switched successively by a transmitting frequency switching device 1, so that a pair of adjacent beam directing directions become symmetrical against the commanded beam directing direction. In this state, the ratio of reflecting signals from a target received by a sum pattern and a difference pattern, respectively, of the phased array antenna of a monopulse system is derived by a divider 8, and by calculating the average value of the output signal of the divider 8 by an arithmetic unit 9, the angle error of the commanded beam directing direction and the target direction can be derived.</p> |
