PURPOSE:To improve operativity by providing a means which change processing functions assigned to function keys when a specific key is operated and indicates the processing function of a changed function key. CONSTITUTION:F1-F10 Keys 12 as function keys for indicating the execution of a process and a STOP key 13 for indicating the interruption of the execution of a program are arranged on a keyboard 10, and a MODE switch 14 for indicating mode switching between the 1st mode in which a user program is inputted and executed and the 2nd mode in which the functions of a Japanese word processor is executed is further arranged. The processing function of a function key 12 which is changed corresponding to each mode indicated with the MODE switch 14 is displayed on a display device 30.
