PURPOSE:To attain favorable speed control all the time, by correcting a driving signal for throttle control according to a deviation between throttle desired opening to be formed on the basis of actual car speed and control desired car speed information and detection opening. CONSTITUTION:In case of a device which operates an engine throttle 1 with an actuator inclusive of a diaphragm to be displaced in conformity with the air pressure adjusted by a solenoid device via an accelerator link, there is provided with a throttle opening detector 3 which generates a second signal in a manner conformable to opening of the throttle 1. Also there is provided with a throttle desired opening setting device 7 which generates a third signal for operating the throttle 1 so as to cause the opening to be varied to the desired value on the basis of a first signal out of a car speed detector and control desired car speed information out of a memory device 5. And, according to a throttle deviation to be secured out of these second and third signals, the third signal is changed by a driving signal forming device 9, making it a driving signal.
