PURPOSE:To display a distortionless picture on a monitor by changing scanning amplitude angle of horizontal scanning according to scanning angle of vertical scanning. CONSTITUTION:When observing the wall face S of a building B from a point O at a vertical distance L from the center point C on the ground, if maximum deflection angle in horizontal direction is 2thetaM0 when elevation angle alpha=0, and that when any elevation angle alpha is 2thetaMalpha, condition that does not generate distortion at both ends of a monitor is shown by expressions I, II. Similarly, angle thetaalpha corresponding to deflection angle theta0 when alpha=0 is shown by an expression III. The condition of equal speed of horizontal scanning is, ut=Ltantheta0, where (u) is horizontal scanning speed, therefore, theta0=tan<-1>(ut/L). Similarly, supposing that vertical speed is (v) from uniformity of speed of vertical scanning, alpha=tan<-1>(vt/L). Therefore, by giving alpha, theta0, thetaalpha to expressions I, II, III, a distortionless picture can be obtained on a monitor.
