PURPOSE:To prevent influences caused by forgetting of canceling operation by providing a registration canceling means that cancels absence transfer service registered by a subscriber when number of times of calls of an absence transfer registration subscriber exceeded preset number of times. CONSTITUTION:An automatic exchange has a main switch 5 that accommodates subscribers 1, 2 through line circuits 3, 4. The memory (CST) 8 of a main storage device 7 stores set number of times, and a memory (COG) 9 stores number of times of calls corresponding to an absence transfer registration subscriber. When a subscriber 1 makes absence transfer registration, a central control unit (CC) 6 resets number of times of calls of a memory area corresponding to the subscriber 1 of the COG 9. When the subscriber 1 makes a call after this registration, the CC 6 counts up number of times of calls, and renews the content of the memory area corresponding to the subscriber 1 of the COG 9. Then, the CC 6 compares the renewed content of the memory area and set number of times read out from the CST 8, and when they coincide, resets the content of absence transfer registered by the subscriber 1. Thus, the canceling can be made automatically.
