PURPOSE:To execute an output by an auxiliary operation output part at the time of abnormality, and to change the output through a communication part of the auxiliary operation output part from a host computer, by providing the auxiliary operation output part, an input/output switching part, and a communication switching part. CONSTITUTION:A controller body 1 which has been loaded with a microprocessor fetches a measured value signal from a pressure transmission device 3 of a process, executes a PID arithmetic to the fetched signal, and outputs its result as an operation output signal to an operating device 4. A front panel 2 of the controller is provided with a measured value and set value indicator 21, an operation output indicator 22, a set value push-button switch 23, an operation mode changeover switch 24 and an operation output push-button switch 25. Also, the controller body 1 is connected to a host computer 6 through a cable 5, and can execute communication. In this way, at the time of abnormality, the output can be changed through communication from the host computer.
