PURPOSE:To make it possible to accurately estimate the life of a test piece by eliminating pulsation effected to the test piece, by accurately moving a load applied piece by a reciprocal motion mechanism for converting rotary motion to linear motion and applying static load to the test piece by a load applying part. CONSTITUTION:Three pairs of forked support pieces 12 and load applying pieces 14 are provided to positions symmetric to the test pieces 1 held by a holder 20 so as to be respectively advanced and retracted and predetermined load is applied to each of the load applying pieces 14 through a load applying part 30. The support pieces 12 are supported by a link apparatus 16 and made possible to advance and retract with respect to the test pieces 1. Each load applying piece 14 is mounted to a slidable slide shaft 11 at one end thereof by a bearing and a shaking arm 32 constituting the load applying part 30 is connected to the other end of the slide shaft 11 and made possible to advance and retract with respect to the test piece 1 by a reciprocal motion mechanism 40. By changing the rotation of a drive motor 41, static load and dynamic load can be applied to the test piece 1.
