A boot cover 10 for enclosing the stowage compartment of convertible-type vehicle when the top is retracted includes a pair of spaced apart rigid section and as interimediate, flexible section. Means for removably mounting the boot cover to the vehicle, generally, includes a spring-like member or clips which are retained by a keeper or merely within the well. A mechanical actuator may be employed to release the spring from the keeper.
