PURPOSE:To prevent a bed plate from being positionally shifted when a stator is mounted, by mounting the stator of a rotary electric machine on the bed plate to fix the stator with a foundation bolt, after the bed plate is fixed with the foundation bolt in the state that the bed plate is put on adjusting shims, and after grout is poured. CONSTITUTION:After a plurality of adjusting shims 4 with screwed adjustment bolts 3 are arranged on a seat 2 and the level is adjusted, grout 5 is poured. On the grout 5, a bed plate 6 is placed and positioned, and after that, a nut 9 is screwed on together with a foundation bolt 8 via a spacer 10, and the bed plate 6 is fixed on the adjusting shims 4. After that, the stator 1 of a rotary electric machine is mounted on the bed plate 6 so that the foundation bolt 8 may be inserted through a bolt hole 1a, the diameter of which is larger than that of the nut 9. After the nut 9 is removed, the nut 9 is screwed on together with a washer 11, and setting of the stator 1 is completed.
