PURPOSE:To form a fine image by increasing the extent of electrostatic charge of toner particles in accordance with an increase in the humidity of environment in which development is carried out so as to prevent the developing effect from weakening by high temp. and humidity or low temp. and humidity. CONSTITUTION:The triboelectricity value of a toner used at high temp. and humidity is regulated to about 15muc/g at ordinary temp. and humidity because the triboelectricity value lowers to 5-10muc/g optimum value and optimum development can be carried out when the toner absorbs moisture. The triboelectricity value of a toner used at low temp. and humidity is regulated to about 3muc/g at ordinary temp. and humidity because the triboelectricity value rises to 5-10muc/g optimum value and optimum development can be carried out when the toner dries.
