[Also in.Division H1] An invalid chair for use by a quadriplegic has a control column positioned in front of the individual provided with a mouthpiece containing a number of sockets housing electrodes connected in various circuits controlling apparatus for steering and controlling the chair, the various circuits being completed to cause operation of the controls by the individual touching the relevant electrodes with his tongue. The sockets are suitably arranged such that it is impossible for the individual to touch with his tongue electrodes in adjoining sockets. |
