PURPOSE:To increase the detecting speed and to contrive to eliminate the burden of the maintenance attendant of the titled system, by automatically initializing a resource for exchange and hardware when the invalidity suspension of the resource for exchange is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a subscriber A makes a call and his telephone set is shifted to, for example, a busy state, the management table of a resource for exchange provided in corresponding with a used trunk line is set to an occupied state and a called state number STN, path information PATH, etc., are stored in the resource for exchange. When the resource for exchange is continuously used for a fixed time, a resource for exchange whose invalidity is suspended is detected by collating the normalness of the resource for exchange and the coincidence between the resource for exchange and hardware condition in accordance with the call state stored in the resource for exchange and the resource for exchange whose invalidity is suspended is released and the hardware is initialized. Therefore, the time required for detecting invalidity suspension can be made shorter and, by automatically initializing the resource whose invalidity is suspended, necessity of any maintenance attendant can be eliminated.
