PURPOSE:To increase reliability of electrode end sealing to local increase in temperature by forming an electrode end surface side of a bag-shaped sealing material thicker than its other part. CONSTITUTION:A gas sealing layer is formed by covering an electrode end part 1a with a bag-shaped sealing material 5a whose part in contact with an end surface side 1b of the electrode end part 1a is thicker than other part. The sealing material 5a is one body and the end surface side 1b is made thick. Since the sealing layer on the end surface side 1b which is exposed on the surface of a cell stack is made thick to increase heat capacity, resistance to local heating in a short time is increased and reliability in electrode end sealing is increased. |
